This game looks amazing! And cute, of course.

Well, based the fairies just go around poking toads, who are like much larger than them, and could swallow them whole. Those fairies for sure don't fear for their lives.

Thanks for playing! The fairies are fearless, but also they know nothing bad will happen to them.

I like how, as it can be seen, the Busy Fairies have actually more reactions compared to other fairies. Not only idle animations, she will look when certain stuffs happen, such as if a toad is poked, or the fairy that poked the toad is caught.

This game is very well-made, and I love it! The characters have many reactions to stuffs, and not just don't care like other games. Each show a unique personality just through their animation and stuffs, the Blue Fairies are the normal ones, they always smile, really always and like to anger the toads cause yes. Strong Fairies are friendly, even if their arms are buff they could bonk a toad maybe. And Busy Fairies... They care about nothing but reading their book, but we can see they don't approve toads being poked and will laugh if the fairy gets justice(?).

Also, I saw a video of  older game also titled "Poke All Toads" on YouTube. Was it how the game used to look like? Apparently yes.

This is a super fun demo, I'm definitely looking forward to the full game! I really can't praise the animation and spritework enough, it's so full of character.

Thanks for playing and the kind words! I will do my best for the final release

I played the demo on steam and on this website, including the hidden levels and I am absolutely in love with this game right now. even if the full version isn't out, I still love this game.

for the full game: what's the price it's going to be sold for (on steam) and will it have a level editor? (I honestly hope so)

Thanks for playing! I haven't decided on the final price, but it will be between 10 and 20. I have plans for a level editor but I cannot guarantee it will be available at release.

I am using a 32 bit Linux system.

Is there a 32 bit version of this game?

Sorry for the late response. Im having some issues exporting with linux compatibility at the moment, so linux ports will have to wait. I will look into exporting to 32 bits systems.

spent a few hours setting up a windows emulator to run this thing and imo it was time well spent. only issues would be that the tutorials didn't change when i set the controls to wasd & a minor typo in the test world (synchronization has an h in it.) also that pesky star travel but that one's on me

Thanks for playing!

Sorry for the inconvenience with the emulator, I will try to make the game playable in macOS and linux for the final builds.

Thanks for the report! Fixed it on my end.

Star travel

That is one of the hardest levels on the game, it shouldnt even be in that level to begin with. If you want I can give you tips on how to beat it.

The game so far is very fun! I love all the animations of the fairies and toads and the puzzles took a decent amount of thinking to complete.

Other than the stuff promised by the end of the demo, the other obvious thing to add would be some kind of prize to go after for completing the optional challenge missions, though I have no idea what that could be.

I'm just gonna be honest here... I specifically found this game because I was searching for vore games. Reading older comments, I'm quite curious as to what the older "morbid" animations were... (maybe there could be a "morbidity" option in the settings menu to use/view older animations?).

I have been thinking about a way to reward completing everything, but I still haven't figured it out yet.

No problem! I included that tag recently after another dev suggested me to try it. I know this game doesn't have nsfw material, so apologies if it was not exactly what you were looking for.

Not sure if you would be interested in that old animation, it was a chewing one. You can watch it happening here https://twitter.com/spacematra/status/1598028016239927298 or in videos showcasing older versions of the game. It was changed because it was too low effort (fairy suddenly dissapearing). Although most players didn't mind it, some were put off by it.

I want to first try other catch/swallow animations for the other toads. The two current ones have different animations after all. The current plan is to have 5 different toads in the game.

Thank you for playing!

The comments mentioning morbidity are quite old. Back then the toads had a different catch/swallow animation which although it looked cool it made people feel bad for the fairies. After changing it to what I have now the sentiment went more or less away. I do have some mechanics later on that further help to lessen it even further.

Thanks for following too! I do have a twitter where I post random videos and pictures every now and then @spacematra. I didn't have it linked to this itch.io page before icely made the video.

You made my day with this cute puzzles. Poked all toads. Glad you decided to finish the game ^^.

Also google recomended me this video after playing the game..

Very fitting recommendation

Thank you! I'm still working on the game, this is a short demo with a few levels. I will make sure to finish the entire game.

I love this game! The art is so cute and the puzzles are fun. My only suggestion would be an animation for when they are being launched, other than that its a perfect demo.

Thank you, I'm glad you like the game! I'm still developing it, so I need to add a lot more animations to the characters.

hi :) my playthrough here:

Thanks for covering the demo! I really appreciate it, it was a very fun video.

About some things you mentioned in the video:

  • what do the flags means?

It is just a way to show where future levels are, but it has been confusing people so I might change it.

  • circle changing colors depending on the selected fairy.

I could look into it. That issue with getting confused about the selected fairy happens mostly on the level where you mentioned it, so I think avoiding situations where a bunch of fairies are close together should alleviate it.

  • not being able to drop down a held fairy

That is intended as a game mechanic, but it doesn't come into play during the early levels.

Again, thanks for giving the game a try!

mostly it was confusing to have 3 flags in a single level, seems like an older version had a counter but yeah I'd be fine if there was only one. I feel like selecting fairies/forgetting controls is the part with the most friction I'm noticing but that's mostly all.

this game is really great and I am excited to follow its future development :)

extra video appreciating some more of the game

Yup, there was a counter! I removed it after it caused confusion but left the flags. Having a single flag level per map sounds like a good idea.

Controls is something that I need to find a good way to remind the player without being pushy. I might need to add a couple more times when they are mentioned to fully ensure the player remembers them.

Very nice, those are all the easter eggs I have put so far in the demo! It has been fun to put small interactions for the players to find.

Fun game.
Very educational about the poking of toads

Thanks for playing!

  • Very educational about the poking of toads
It's important for people to learn about this important subject.

Managed to complete the game! It's a very cute demo and a really fun puzzle game! It's a cute premise to begin with, and the sense of humor slowly emerges over time as you realize just how mean these fairies can be to each other :y There was a good build up of difficulty in the first world while you teach the basic mechanics, and the information slides do a good job of getting you thinking in the right direction regarding solution options early on. The puzzles near the end definitely got a lot trickier, but I did manage to solve them on my own with some creative thinking on my part.

For anyone in the future who might turn to the comments for any reason: there are 2 worlds at the moment, there is a save feature implemented since that original comment, and you can use the escape key at any time during the level to restart/leave to the main menu/overworld.

While the red fairies can cancel their throws, it would be nice if there was a key to put down the fairy entirely (press x twice in a row?). I feel like there could be  clearer way to switch between fairies; when they stand close to one another it can be hard to tell which fairy you have selected, and since the x key is so close to the action key z, it's easy to end up doing an action when I meant to switch, and vice versa. There's been a few times where I pressed the enter key out of habit, and while that seems to work on the 'continue' button screens, there's not any other functions tied into the enter button as far as I'm aware. Maybe it would make more sense to have the action button tied in with the enter key? I also think if the character highlight ring changed depending on fairy type (so green when with the blue fairy, pink when with the red fairy), that could possibly help address the situation.

Hope some of this managed to be of help! I'm very curious to see what the rest of the game might end up looking like!

I'm very happy that you enjoyed the demo, thanks for the feedback!

Key inputs and how well the game can be understood at a glance are things that Im always looking to improve, I will experiment with fairy selection and keys a bit.

Played the game, didn't complete it, though, got to second world, the level where you have to deal with two red toads, then I had to restart the browser for an update, and when I came back, it turns out, that the game doesn't save. I think that for a long game like this, this should be a high-priority feature, cause most players won't complete the game in one sitting.

Other than that, it's an alright puzzle game, most of the mechanics I encountered so far were familiar to me.

The art looks amateurish, but charming.

And I'd say I was a bit put off by the morbid nature of the game, when you have to feed other fairies to toads.

Thanks for checking the game out and leaving a comment! Saving progress is planned for the next demo, I didn't had time to implement it for this one.

About the morbidity, I want the game to have a cartoony tone, not a gruesome one. I will try out some ideas to communicate that better.
